Retreat Venues
Sunset Valley is a beautiful peaceful resort set between the paddy fields and the rain forest at the foot of Lankawi's highest mountain - Gunung Raya. During your retreat at Sunset Valley you will stay in your own beautifully restored traditional Malay wooden house. Each house is tastefully furnished and equipped with its own kitchen and bathroom.

You will have access to the swimming pool and jacuzzi and use of the 'pavillion' lounge area by the poolside.
The resort is owned and managed by Andre and Ria, a wonderful Dutch couple who sailed all the way to Langkawi from Europe. Visit their website to know more about this lovely resort.
In the simple accommodation option you will stay in a comfortable guest house close to the beach in Pantai Cenang. The retreat takes place at our yoga studio. We can pick you up at your accommodation or you can easily walk (10 mins) if you wish.
You can choose to arrange your own food and accommodation and still join our yoga retreats at our studio in Pantai Cenang. Sometimes travel agents offer good package deals with flights and accommodation included. We can pick you up from anywhere around Pantai Cenang or Pantai Tengah.
In the Cameron Highlands we hold our retreats at a quiet little hotel on the edge of the town of Tanah Rata. We require a minimum of 4 people and at least one month notice if you would like us to arrange a yoga retreat in the Cameron Highlands.
We do not provide Transport to Tanah Rata, but this link will take you to a page that lists some companies that do.

A few things to keep in mind before booking a yoga retreat
Yoga can help with many ailments, but if you have any particular concerns or health issues, or are suffering from any illness or injury, we advise you to consult a qualified medical practitioner beforehand.
It is important to refrain from eating at least two hours before class and not to drink at least 30 minutes before class. We discourage drinking anything during Asana practice; however, it is important to drink plenty of water after your session.
You should wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing, preferably made of natural fibres. Bring a yoga mat, a towel, a sense of humour and an open-minded willingness to learn.
It gets quite chilly at night in the Cameron Highlands so make sure you pack some warm clothes - jacket, hat and scarf are useful at night. In Langkawi a sun hat, sun cream and mosquito repellant are useful.
For your own peace of mind, and out of respect for other participants, we request that your telephone be kept switched off during classes. Please refrain from using perfume or strong smelling deodorants. We expect our course participants to be non-smokers - at least for the duration of the retreat.
