Yoga Now in the Pyrenees

yoga now pyrenees yoga retreat

This summer we will be offering two unique yoga holiday packages in the French Pyrenees.

In order to assure that you receive the maximum of personal attention we limit our yoga retreats to 12 people.

Whether you choose the relaxed peacefulness of the Basque country, or hiking through the magnificent landscapes of the central Pyrenees, you are sure to find that your yoga retreat will leave you feeling relaxed, refreshed and energized.

Basque Country Yoga Retreat

Join us for a week long yoga retreat in a beautifully restored 17th century Chateau set in the peaceful rolling hills of the French Basque country. During the retreat you will deepen your yoga practice, explore the art of meditation and have the chance to join in preparing the vegetarian food served during the retreat.

Optional massage sessions can be arranged during free time (additional charges apply).

The venue is within easy reach from the airports in either Biarritz or Pau, both of which have regular Ryanair flights from Ireland and England.

Easyjet also fly from Bristol to Biarritz several times a week

Read the Basque Country Retreat Outline below for more details.

By train: Take the Eurostar to Paris and then the TGV Paris-Biarritz. There is also a night train from Paris to Biarritz, so a Eurostar leaving London around 6pm will get you into Biarritz in the morning.

Hiking and Yoga Retreat

Based in the lovely town of Luz St. Sauveur in the heart of the Pyrenees, each day will start with meditation and yoga practice and then a guided hike in the stunningly picturesque surrounding mountains.

A few things to keep in mind before booking your yoga retreat

Yoga can help with many ailments, but if you have any particular concerns or health issues, or are suffering from any illness or injury, we advise you to consult a qualified medical practitioner beforehand.

It is important to refrain from eating at least two hours before class and not to drink at least 30 minutes before class.

We strongly discourage drinking anything during Asana practice. However, it is important to drink plenty of water after your session to help your body eliminate the toxins released through yoga practice.

You should wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing, preferably made of natural fibres. Bring a yoga mat, a towel, a sense of humour and an open-minded willingness to learn.

Please don't use strong smelling perfume or deodorants as they may disturb other class participants.

For your own peace of mind, and out of respect for other class participants, we request that your telephone be kept switched off during classes.

Yoga mats are provided for the yoga classes.

Determination, courage and self-confidence are the key factors for success. If we have firm determination, we can work out obstacles and difficulties. Whatever the circumstances, we should remain humble, modest and without pride.
